During the summer programmes we offer an average of two activities a week, such as trips to places of interest in and around Dublin.

Participants in the longer six- and nine-month courses are offered trips to places of interest also in other parts of the country within easy reach of Maynooth. Each term the students are offered one trip to the theatre in Dublin to see a play which the teachers will have discussed with them in class beforehand (no additional charge).

During the longer programmes a long week-end excursion is organised to another part of the country.

There is one excursion per term to one of the following places: Galway (in the west), Kerry (in the south-west) and Donegal (in the north-west). During the Summer Course there is one week-end excursion during each of the five-week periods, with an additional cost of €80.00.
